Q 3.1. Who is to be contacted in case of death of member and what are the documents to be forwarded ?

In case of demise of member, the nominee is to contact the following agencies and forward the given documents

For Airmen & NCs(E) Gp Capt AV (A&N) Dte of Air Veterans, AFRO Building (3^rd Floor), Subroto Park, New Delhi-110010	Original/attested death certificate

Q 3.2. What happens, if, both the member and NOK (Nominees) die at the same time ? Who would be the beneficiaries ?

In such cases the procedure is as follows :-

The benefit will be equally shared by minor children(s) and major unmarried daughter(s).
In the absence of such family members, the beneficiary will be mother, father in that order.
In all other cases, Succession Certificate from competent court of law is required.

Q 3.3. Are all types of deaths and pre existing disease cases covered under AVIC?

Yes, all type of deaths including suicide/ flying accident etc are covered under AVIC. Pre existing disease cases are also covered under AVIC.
