Miscellaneous Grants/ Ex-Gratia
Q 1. What is Ex-Gratia Scheme?
Ans. Ex Gratia Grant is provided at the discretion of the Executive Committee of IAFBA to relieve the distress and acute financial hardships to AF personnel/Air Veterans/Widows. Amount of the grant is also decided by the Executive Committee on case to case basis.
Q 2. What all schemes are covered under Ex Gratia Scheme?
Ans. The following schemes have been merged with Ex Gratia grant:-
(a) Reimbursement of the Medical bills/ Nourishing diet.
(b) Monthly Maintenance Grant to Medically Boarded Out (MBO)personnel with 100% disability.
(c) Monthly Maintenance grant to MBO personnel when grant of disability pension is pending.
(d) Grant for commercial venture to Medically Boarded Out personnel.
(e) Grant to NoK of missing serving personnel.
(f) Grant for Wheelchair/ Mechanical Aid.
(g) Interest Free Loan.
Q 3. What all documents are required for EX-Gratia Grant?
Ans. For serving personnel:-
Form Sl No-I available under download section of IAFBA web site www[dot]iafba[dot]iaf[dot]in with supporting documents are required to be forwarded to IAFBA under a covering letter from Unit Adjutant.
For Retired personnel and Deceased: -
Form Sl No- I (DD-40) along with supporting documents are required to be forwarded to IAFBA along with and a personal application.
