Q 1. What is Platinum Jubilee Disaster Relief Fund?
Ans. PJDRF is subsidised loan towards providing financial assistance to personnel who get affected due to various natural calamities toward property loss.
Q 2. Who are eligible for PJNDRF?
Ans. The benefit is available to serving airmen to defray expenses towards repair of house property and/or for purchase of items of basic necessity to bring him to normal state of living.
Q 3. What is the loan amount under the scheme and rate of interest?
Ans. A loan of Rs 3 Lakh is provided at a highly subsidized rate of 3% per annum.
Q 4. Is this loan is available after retirement?
Ans. No, the loan is admissible upto present terms of engagement only.
Q 5. What is the maximum no of instalments?
Ans. The amount is recoverable in Maximum 60 instalments.
Q 6. What cases are included in this scheme?
Ans. The cases which have been declared as “severe” or “level 3 disasters” by the Government are included under this scheme
Q 7. What is Level-3 Disaster?
Ans This corresponds to a nearly catastrophic situation or a very large scale disaster that overwhelms the State and District authorities.
Q 8. What are the documents required for such loan?
Ans Documents to be attached with the application are given below:-
(a) Application form dully filled and signed in all respects..
(b) Certificate from local authorities (Block Revenue Officer/First Class Magistrate/ SDM etc) certifying the loss and giving the extents of losses suffered in monetary terms.
(c) Latest e-pay slip (self authenticated)
(d) Agreement form on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 100, signed by adjutant (1st witness). All pages of agreement are to be signed by the individual.
